Steve > We woke up at 4 am and packed up our van and then loaded in the children. We finally pulled out at 5:10 am for the long drive outside Valencia, Spain.

Steve > It was good to stretch our legs and eat some lunch at the 7 hour mark in our journey

Steve > 11 hours after our departure it was time for a snack and another rest on the side of the road. The children did wonderful.

Steve > The landscape changed dramatically during our journey and though we still have mountains, they are completely barren.

Steve > Then we found the sea! Our 13 hour journey was complete and with another day of driving still ahead of us, Kirsten took the kids to the beach and I set up camp.

Steve > The morning started with the sound of waves crashing against the beach and then the stir of children. We folded up our tents, repacked the van, and hit the road for another day of travel.
