Steve > Last Sunday we hiked up the mountain to see "le croix du nivolet." The hike was long and the view magnificent.
Steve > As we stopped to catch our breath while walking up the grassy ski slope this was the view looking back toward home.
Steve > In the distance you can see the cross standing at the edge of the cliff overlooking Chambéry.
Steve > From the top of the mountain you could see the autumn forests and snow-capped mountains in the distance.
Steve > When leaving America before our Autumn I thought I would never see the changing of season like home. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined seeing such beauty.
Steve > With the hike complete it was time for the traditional afternoon snack. The view was also nice.
Steve > The cross was originally made of stone but lighting enjoyed the striking practice so the structure is now encased in metal with a lighting rod thanks to the electric company.
