Photos from our lives in Abéché
Rainbow Over Chad
July 16, 2009
We've had rain nearly every night which is a tremendous blessing for the people here. Thankfully the days are clear and sunny so our solar equipment is getting a full charge but the dry ground is getting the water it needs. If you look close you can see the faint line of a second rainbow.
The home at the center bottom is our neighbors, Abbo & Hawa. They are helping us learning Chadian Arabic and have been a blessing to us since moving into the neighborhood.
In the bottom left hand corner you'll see a small white structure. These are "little mosques" that have been built around town to train children how to pray. Though I have not seen many children praying at these they dot nearly every street corner.
