Steve > This is where are guard sleeps at night inside our concession.
Steve > Here's our baby generator. Since we are averaging electricity for just a few hours once a week we generally run this little guy about 2 hours each night after dark. This helps us charge the computers and cell phones while providing enough light for us to get showers and ready for bed. It only puts out 650 WATTS so we have to be careful not to overburden it since we basically just plug our house into it.
Steve > This is our simple yet complicated form of electricity here. When, and I do stress when, we have electricity this set-up helps us get it to the house.

First you should know that we have 3 phases so the light bulbs show me which phase has electricity. Then at the bottom you'll notice three female plugs. Our entire house is basically wired to a male plug similar to anything else you plug in - it just so happens that this plug is to our house. The chadian "electrician" didn't seem to have much knowledge of electricity so the bulbs don't work and there were some other problems. So like with everything else here I am also learning to fix this which is on my to-do list for this afternoon.

Steve > We got Elijah a slingshot for one of his presents. I set him up with some cans until the pigeons came back.
