Steve > We're fortunate to have a pool near our house but we need to walk down a street a little Mom & Pop Shops. The picture isn't anything exciting but it is part of our new daily surroundings.
Steve > They have a 5-Story mall here! Sometimes I am so stunned that people live and work overseas and still have access to places like this. At the moment we are so used to our work leading to some of the remotest locations on earth and yet I sat here sipping my Starbucks coffee as the kids colored. They have Dairy Queen and even Auntie Annes Pretzels.
Steve > Much of our time here is spent at the doctor's office or processing what surfaces during these times. The kids have done great and remained flexible even as they are forced to hangout in the waiting room.
Steve > It has been such a great experience to have opportunities for fun as a family. Prices here are amazingly reasonable so for about $3 per person we got to bowl four games. Since we were the only people there they even put on some 90's music from America.
Steve > When we decided to extend our stay in Thailand we needed to find a solution for extending our visas. The easiest way was for us to travel north and cross the international border into Myanmar. We ate lunch and then crossed back into Thailand thereby receiving a renewed 30 days in country. We also got to see some cool things along the way.
Steve > This was the border into Myanmar. It's nothing spectacular but we just never imagined ourselves EVER needing to be here.
